Rules:

First and foremost, to be able to participate in our community, please remember that you must be at least 18 years of age and know what yaoi is (Delicious man sex, rawr can't get enough... If you don't understand, Google works.). You MUST be logged in to view any content on the forum. Also, it is very important to remember that all roleplays here are works of FICTION ONLY.

New members MUST be approved personally by an Admin before a new member is allowed to join. Rejected applicants will receive a notification via email (the email used to sign up). New members trying to sign up with the same I.P. address as anyone else on the forum WILL BE REJECTED. If you feel this is an error or would like to dispute a rejected sign up, please contact Ruddy Kitty via email: ruddykitty@hotmail.com

With that said, here is a list of rules that should be read and understood by every member.



1. When starting a new roleplay, put your topic in the correct section. If you are unsure, please contact an Administrator or Moderator for help. If you suspect you have posted it in the wrong section do not be afraid to contact an Administrator or Moderator! We are more than happy to help.

2. Do not post in a roleplay without consent unless the tag of 'OPEN' is clear on the thread title or first post. If you would like to ask about joining a RP you should PM the member who created the thread for further information.

3. The Journals and members only section is considered private. Information you learn about members should not be carelessly shared with others unless consent is given. Any malicious 'rumors' or divulging of information will be viewed as harassment. We are a community here and gossip in a negative manner is not desirable.

4. If there is cause for concern over a reply/thread/comment/private message, please contact a Moderator or Administrator and it will be dealt with as soon as possible.

5. Harassing other members for any reason is unacceptable. This includes in public threads or over PM. Punishments will be decided at the discretion of staff. If the harassment is considered abusive more so than unpleasant, a higher warning level may apply.

6. All members are obligated to follow the instructions of staff members. If you do not comply, a higher level of warning may be issued and possibly a ban. If you believe the judgment is unfair feel free to address another administrator. Ruddy Kitty and Yaoi Prince will review the issue.

7. YD administrators reserve the right to ban any member without notice IF considerable harm or damage is being caused to one or more members or the board. This ban can be temporary or permanent depending upon the offense. (Don't worry, this isn't used very often.)



Disciplinary Actions:

If for any reason a member becomes out of hand, these are the steps that will ensue:

-Caution: A caution is a politely informative suggestion to cease an action. These actions are usually relatively harmless such as posting in a RP thread to make conversation or posting a thread in the wrong section continually. These may be retracted as judged on a case-by-case basis. Three cautions will earn you a Warning.

-Warning: This is a clear instruction to stop doing something either more severe or continued with ignorance of the Cautions provided, so after the third caution is a warning. An example of a direct Warning without Caution is when a member purposefully flames another for any reason. (Flaming is treating another with disrespect in an offensive manner). Issuing a Warning before any three Cautions is pretty rare. One warning is all that is given before a Suspension.

-Suspension: This is a period of time that the offending member is restricted from attending the Yaoidreams.com forums in order to cool down, think about their actions and get some perspective. The suspension period depends upon the offense and should always be discussed with an administrator. It can be as little as one day and as long as three months. When a member comes back from suspension, they are on a probationary period.

-Probation: Staff monitor the user to ensure that they are not making the same mistakes or causing issues. If they commit the same offense, this may call for an immediate re-suspension depending on the severity of the offense (such as flaming) for a longer period of time. If the offense is different, one warning only is provided to probationary members. If a member continually shows no effort to make amends while on probation and continues to commit offenses, they will be Banned.

-Banned: When a member is restricted from attending Yaoidreams.com for more than 3 months. This may be from 6 months to permanent.

-Spanking: Only provided when a member has done a good job, whether it be whip or free hand is your decision.
